From the buyers perspective, the open home is an opportunity to investigate in person – instead of looking at an online listing! Getting a feel for the space and really imagining yourself living in this property are the highlights of visiting open homes during your real estate quest.

It’s also a chance to mingle with other potential buyers – eyeing up the competition –  or chat with the real estate agent about the property. Take the chance to ask them questions about the property such as how long has it been on the market or what the costs of general maintenance are.

Perhaps the best part is simply being out and about – make a day of visiting a variety of homes for sale throughout your relaxed Saturday. Visiting several houses will give the basis for comparison, because you may not know it’s your dream home until you walk through the door!
