Peter Camphin, joint Queensland CEO of Australia’s largest property group Ray White, will sleep on the streets on Thursday 20 June along with over 1,000 CEOs nationwide to raise awareness and funds for the homeless.
“The core of our business is to provide people with homes and with over 100,000 people homeless every night , as a company we have a responsibility to raise awareness,” said Peter.
“Like many others who work in our industry, I have been fortunate in my role as CEO and with 35 years in the industry, to have been involved in finding homes for thousands of Australians.
“Unfortunately we still have a housing shortage in Australia and today, many people do not have a home to go to every night.” said Peter.
The Ray White Group has almost 1,000 franchised offices throughout Australia and New Zealand employing over 10,000 people and selling more than $25 billion worth of real estate each year.
The QLD CEO Sleepout will be held at The Courier-Mail Piazza from 6pm (AEDT) on Thursday, 20 June 2013.
“This is a fantastic cause and I am really looking forward to rolling out my sleeping bag and participating in this great event.” said Peter.
